Rugby World Cup Is Here!

After years of anticipation, the Rugby World Cup is finally here..And what an opening ceremony! From the 9th of September to the 23rd of October this marvelous festival celebrates all that is rugby and attracts teams and fans alike from all over the world. Chances are you've already encountered fans along the way, and as most campervans are booked out no doubt they have invaded all areas of New Zealand-especially around the games zones of Auckland, Whangarei, Hamilton, Napier, Wellington, Invercargill, Dunedin, Palmerston North, New Plymouth, Nelson and Rotorua. Freedom camping laws have changed as of the 1st of September, so it's even more important that you obey the laws and only camp in designated areas. If you are from a country without a national team (there are around 92 international teams in the world!) or if you don't have a favourite yet, you are unofficially welcomed to join New Zealanders in supporting our national team-The mighty All Blacks! Please be careful on the roads while you're travelling around during this period, it's going to be a very busy time indeed. If you are finding that there's a line of traffic behind you, be courteous and pull over to allow people to pass..A double toot means thanks!
