There are plenty of petrol (or gas) stations in New Zealand. Most have very similar pricing so you won’t necessarily save money by sticking to one brand, although one small brand called Gull are the minnows and often charge below the bigger players. It pays to fill up in larger cities where it can be around 5 cents per liter cheaper (saving you around $5 or $10). Some people that drive diesels disconnect the speedo cable so they save money on having to legally purchase ‘Diesel miles‘, this is a dangerous activity and you run the risk of being caught speeding!
Scroll the map to your location and find your nearest petrol station.
